Type 37 Bugatti Restoration
Over View
This was an enjoyable restoration project. All of the panel work was original Bugatti, the scuttle and tail panels were actually the original panels made for this car, though they had been separated over the years. I was able to make some minor adjustments to bring the panel work as close as possible to the pierod photos we had.

Bonnet Repair
The car had previously been fitted with a T51 engine, which meant the bonnet had a vent hole in a different position. It also required some adjustment around the steering arm to return to its original configuration.
Tail Repair
The tail had an old repair in the rear section that presented some unusual features. I decided to cut off the rear portion and remake it, incorporating the correct louvers and restoring the original rear shape.
Bonnet Landings and other panel work
The undertray fit well overall—it just needed to be aligned with the original mounting holes in the chassis. The bonnet landings, however, required significantly more work. They needed substantial repairs and a new joggle to properly fit the original bonnet.
